Stimulus checks for undocumented?

So I know a lot of people actually think that undocumented do not pay taxes, but a lot of us too know that THEY DO pay taxes. They are authorized a Tax Id Number+ ITIN, because the gov't wants to make sure they pay taxes. So why is it that they were not allowed the stimulus check? They are here working for their money, paying taxes paid at less than minimun wage, and are not allowed from receiving a check they deserve as every tax payer in america?

There are very few that pay taxes sorry to disappoint. Most get paid cash under the table and that is partly why cheap employers hire them. Illegal aliens do not deserve anything except a free trip to their home.

because they may not have a valid SS#. so when its tax time, it does not show up because it does not exist or it maybe from some one else.

According to government figures only 25% of illegal immigrants pay taxes, Why should lawbreakers be rewarded? The cost in California alone to taxpayers of services and benefits provided to illegal immigrants and their families is over $9 billion per year, so I'd say they more than get their share anyway.

Not only are they not entitled to stimulus check but they are not eligible for the earned income credit either.

Why would a government give out money to people who don't even have the common decency to enter this country legally?

Only American CITIZENS are eligible for the stimulus- period.

ADD: the only way you will get a stimulus check is to file your taxes- period.

If they want the benefits of citizenry- such as the stimulus check or guaranteed minimum wage perhaps they should enter this country legally and become citizens.

As it stands illegal immigrants only have themselves to blame for working for less than minimum wage.

I don't know, but that's messed up.Any person that pays taxes should have gotten one.Whether they are whit, black purple green, legal or not! I guess that's even more money they are making off the illegals.

Some people just don't understand.Illegals to get ITIN'S and that is a fact,look it up people! And yes you walk into the IRS office and ask for a application and you apply for the ITIN!Simple as that! Why do people have such a hard time believing that's true!

Add in the number in jail, on welfare, unemployment, etc. then the ones claiming 9 kids so they don't have to pay taxes and you don't have many left!
The ITIN number was to allow people who made money legitimately in the US to pay taxes and not for illegal, immoral, criminal invaders to mooch of the US taxpayer!
Report, deport and if they come back give them to sheriff Joe!

I would call the IRS and ask them,
I am married to a US citizen and I only have an ITIN
and we just received a letter stating that our stimulus check for $1200 will be sent to us within a week.
The letter we received also has my name on it, and they are refunding him for me too.

Honey, if you are UNDOCUMENTED you are illegal!!!!!!!!! NOT legal = NO stimulus. Let them go back to where they are from legally and collect money.

Lets see you say they are UNDOCUMENTED but yet they have a GOVT issued tax number HMMMMMMMMM how does that work do you walk in say I am an illegal alien but I want to pay taxes cause I would never break the law like say crossing your border illegally.

i don't believe undocumented have a itin number. they would deport. you have to show papers to even get one.

Give up YOUR stimulus check to an illegal alien if you feel that way.

If a person is making under min. wage they do not pay taxes. Basic tax codes prohibits the gov't from taking wages when you do not make enough. Honestly, whether they are here working for their money, they are her illegally, so therefore should not get a check, or ANY gov't assistance of any sort

the stimulus check is meant to help the U.S. economy. its not meant for illegal immigrants to send home to their families.

Ok well its pretty hard to get a stimulus check when you dont have a social... Oppsss they use dead peoples, or yours if your not careful..

You need a job AND a social security number. Illegal aliens don't get social security numbers. They are criminals who use the ITIN as if it were a social security number. Stimulus checks were not sent to people illegally working with an ITIN because nobody wants to reward criminals.

They are in our country illegally. They deserve nothing until they become legal.

I think they should! My husband is not allowed to work because he overstayed his visa to be there for me when our son was born, so now he is the stay at home parent and I work, but he still has to pay taxes, and I don't get ANY of my stimulous check or Income tax returns because he isn't a citizen. Its really irritating.
