What kinda food should i not feed my guinea pigs?

  • Yes, you should feed guinea pigs fresh food twice a day like romaine lettuce, kale, and spinach, since they cannot produce their own vitamin C. And sometimes for treats small pieces of apple without the skin or oranges.


  • Fresh veggies are great, try carrots, romaine lettuce, apples, oranges, small amounts of melon, kale, cranberries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries are all acceptable. Some will take cucumbers as well.

    Do not feed them grapes (too high in sugar), Tomatoes, ice burg lettuce (not harmful but it has no nutrition), onions, chocolate, any human candy

    The best pellets in my opinion are made by OXBOW, mine likes the cavy cuisine best (they make cavy performance too). Kay-tee fiesta would be my next choice. After that they're all basically the same.

  • yes feed him fresh fruit and veg and he will be happy some favorites are carrots apples and celery not potatoes
