Niberu is more then likely rubish, but assuming that it was true, it is possible that people living in certian areas safe from natural disasters such as floods, huricanes, and volcanoes, and survived by being lucky.
As for 2012 being the end, it will be interesting to see if anything does happen. I personally see it as the appcolypse, but in the true meaning of the word, the end of an age, not the end of the world. Perhaps people will begin to think differently or maybe there will be some kind of enlightenment or something.
Don't worry too much about it, when its your time to go, its your time to go. Nothing you can do to it
Scientists don't expect anything out of the ordinary to happen in the year 2012, or specifically on the date December 21, other than the solstice, which happens every year.
None of the "predicted" happenings for 2012 hold up under close scrutiny. "Planet X" and "Nibiru" simply don't exist. The Mayan calendar ends a cycle, but there were no predictions of the end of the world. The Sun doesn't line up with the galactic centre; it's 6 degrees off. No asteroids or comets are actually predicted to hit Earth.
All of this stuff was put together by crackpots in order to promote their books and TV shows, and shamelessly promoted by the History Channel. Don't take any of it seriously!
2012 will come and go and nothing astronomically destructive will happen and then all the people that fell hook, line, and sinker for it will all pretend they never really believed it and conveniently forget about it as they gear up for their next doomsday prediction in another few years. "This time it's fo' reals!"
But they also say the mayan calendar ends in 2012 too. So it is hard to say. But we have so much technology now that some of the times we are able to stop these things from happening...sometimes we can't.
we've got a live one here!!
congrats. your first step toward realizing the 2012 cr@p is just that. Cr@p
look at the other predictions of 2012 and find other reasons why every single one of them are incorrect and/or meaningless.
then let your friends know what you learned.
it WILL better mankind more than you think.
Since there is no eccentricity of the orbit of Earth, Mars, Venus or Mercury that could have been caused by such a planet, nor is there any historical record of such an event, most people conclude that it did not an will not happen. In any case, according to one version of the fairy tale, it is not due here until 2085, another version says the year 3000.
Planet X is a non-planet dreamed up by a deluded woman called Nancy Lieder about 1994. It was supposed to approach the Earth around May 2003, causing a pole shift. You might have noticed it didn't happen.
There will be no alignment of more than maybe three planets at a time in 2012. Earth, Venus and the Sun will form a line in June 2012, but that happens regularly anyway and last happened in 2004.
The so called Mayan calendar clicks over toward the end of 2012, probably in December. Since the Mayans predicted dates in the 4000s, they probably expected nothing much to happen. The prediction of something big and maybe nasty was invented by Jose Arguelles a few years ago. He's another woo-woo.
All practical jokes, superstition, delusion, and fraud.
