Saying "I suppose"

Wednesday Mar 17, 2010
  • I tried looking up the verb "to suppose"... but I'm not so sure if I got it right..

I'm working on things I can say on a normal basis when the situation calls for it... Would it be considered any bit normal to just mutter

to just mean "I suppose so" in response to what someone says..

    And also...

Does it mean "That's unfortunate/That's a shame" to say

    2) I don't think it means what you think it means:

    みうける 見受ける

    《見かける》(happen to) see.
When I first saw you, you looked….

    3) To say "I suppose so" you'd probably say

    4) Yes (referring to "that's unfortunate/that's a shame.")

  • Oh okay, I used the thing on your signature to loo k it up and that’s what I got.
