Rangers news:
Only Furlong and Rose are out with injury. Bircham will have a fitness test, but is expected to play.
Olly has said he'll name the same starting lineup as against Plymouth, meaning Shittu will remain on the bench.

Here, however, it says Dan "could start":

The opponent:
Tommy Mooney and Andy Gurney are "doubtful" due to "stomach upsets" and Sammy Igoe is out with an injured wrist (from same BBC article above).
Gurney has two league goals (in 17 starts) and two cup goals. Mooney has eight league goals (in 18 starts) and one cup goal. Looks like an important duo for them. Igoe has two goals in nine starts and one sub appearance.
Their last five in the league:
15/11 Oldham 0-1 Swindon
01/11 Swindon 2-0 Wycombe
25/10 Swindon 0-0 Port Vale
21/10 Tranmere 1-0 Swindon
18/10 Chesterfield 3-0 Swindon
After beating Wycombe 2-0 at home, they lost at Wycombe in the FA Cup 1-4.
The series:
QPR leads a close series with 39 wins, 22 draws, and 35 losses in all competitions.
Last year, we won 2-0 at home and lost 1-3 away. The year before, we won 'em both, 4-0 at home and 1-0 away. QPR also won the last three times the clubs met in Division 1.
The referee:
Barry Knight does the honors. He seems a bit card-happy -- he's worked 8 matches (2 Premier, 2 D1, 2 D2, 1 D3, and a LC match) and given out 42 yellows and 4 reds. 8 yellows and a red in Watford/Millwall, 7 yellows and a red in Southampton/Middlesbrough, 6 yellows and a red in Stoke/Sheffield United on 1 November -- he hasn't worked in three weeks.
He only worked six matches last year (no QPR, but three in the Premier League). In our first year in D2, he worked a full season and had us twice (0-0 home games v. Reading and Brighton).
Will you be at the Goldhawk next Saturday? We (my parents and I) will definitely hit the Bushranger and White Horse, but may try to stop in there too. I'm back just a week later for the Brighton LDV match, so if we don't catch up for Wednesday, maybe the next Sunday.
I'm at the Goldhawk before every match - so you can always find me there. Usually in the BR afterwards. Let me know what your plan is and we'll meet up. Send me an email if you'd like - kevin@qblock.com
Safe trips
We got a decent point - but from the sounds of some thoughts of the Rangers crowd - we were dissapointing and should have been better against an average Swindon team.
Here are the vitals from the Beeb...

Swindon 1-1 QPR
QPR midfielder Martin Rowlands scored the only goal to ensure his side stayed top of the table.
The home side dominated in the first half with striker Tommy Mooney hitting the crossbar twice.
Swindon took the lead on 39 minutes when Sam Parkin headed in Andy Gurney's cross.
Rowlands fired a chance over the bar but fired in with 11 minutes left after Tony Thorpe's flick.
Swindon: Evans, Gurney, Heywood, Ifil, Robinson, Duke, Miglioranzi, Howard, Hewlett, Mooney, Parkin. Subs: Griemink, Nicholas, Fallon, Smith, Reeves.
QPR: Day, Edghill, Padula, Carlisle, Forbes, Sabin, Rowlands, Bircham, Bean, Gallen, Thorpe. Subs: Culkin, Palmer, Shittu, Ainsworth, Pacquette.
Referee: B Knight (Kent)

Asleep at the wheel today Atouk? ;)Thanks for picking up the slack, Kev. I was flying down to New Orleans at the time of the match -- I'm going to see my college basketball team's opener tonight (University of New Orleans Privateers), then will fly to London via Philly tomorrow afternoon/night.

As for today, it's disappointing given our current form, but this is one we probably would have lost last year (well, we did lose at Swindon, but I meant that we've pulled out a bunch of road draws this year when we've played like crap). It's good to see us grinding out points on our bad days.
It seems a little odd that Sabin started for the ailing McLeod, no? Last time McLeod was out (suspension, was it?), didn't Holloway go with the versatile Rowlands on the left and Ainsworth on the right. Looks like he made that switch at the half today. I wonder if Sabin was outplaying Ainsworth on the practice pitch or if his knowledge of Swindon got him the start.
Sheffield Wednesday drew at home today against Luton, 0-0, so they aren't exactly peaking at the moment. Let's hope we can grab all three points next weekend (and let's hope for no rain -- we're in uncovered Lower Loft seats!).
