however, when i launch 16:9-enabled games from within xbmc (for example prince of persia sot) they don't appear to be in widescreen. is this an issue when running the xbe from xbmc, or perhaps because my games are all the pal versions?
i'm not 100% sure that the games aren't in widescreen, it could just be my eyes playing tricks on me. however, in xbmc and any videos that xbmc plays, my television autodetects 16:9 and won't let me squash the image back to 4:3. but when i run games, it does allow me to. this leads me to believe that the tv is only receiving a 4:3 signal.
